Out & About Newspaper , a monthly, tabloid-sized newspaper focusing on the Nashville and Knoxville GLBT community is expanding its all-volunteer staff. Join Middle & East Tennessee's only monthly GLBT publication, sharpen your skills and build your creative portfolio.
Production artist(s): If you are a graphics production person with publication design experience and skilled on a Mac-based system, we want to talk to you! Duties include assistance with publication and ad layout. Must be skilled with Quark and PhotoShop. Use your creative skills AND build your portfolio. This position may be eligible for college internship credit!!
Knoxville or Nashville Sports Writer: Reporting to the Editor, you will write and report on the Nashville & Middle Tennessee GLBT sports scene. The editor will make story assignments. One to two stories per month with a story length of 300 to 500 words.
Knoxville or Nashville News Writer: Reporting to the managing editor, these two writers will focus on general news coverage in the Nashville GLBT community. The managing editor and or editorial staff will make story assignments. A background in news writing would be helpful. Focused and fair reporting is necessary. One to two stories per month will be expected with a story length of 300 to 500 words.
